Wellness Programs

There are numerous health benefits that come with the joy that’s experienced.  Our One Hour Wellness Programs are designer for a variety of special populations with a concentration on activities that maximize the inherent health benefits of music-making.The programs focus on connectivity and healing, not isolation or illness, and are designed to help everyone lead a more energetic, connected and happy life. Our goal is to help everyone find a new way to play!

Below are the list of programs we offer. We have provided links for articles and information you may download. We hope you’ll find them especially valuable.

Cancer Wellness

Our cancer wellness programs engage groups of patients and survivors through drumming, relaxation, guided imagery, rhythmic entrainment and connectivity. Medical studies have proven that drumming increases T-cell levels that fight cancer, lower blood pressure, and boost the immune system, among a host of  many other health benefits.

Cancer Wellness at Piedmont Health Sytsems – Fayette and Newnan Hospitals offer our programs for cancer patients and survivors. For information link here to their Cancer Wellness Program Calendar or to their website atwww.piedmontfayette.org/wellness.

Senior Programs

Anti-aging means staying as healthy as you can as long as you can.   Not only does the music itself heal, but learning music works both the left and right side of the brain. This keeps players sharper with a renewed sense of spirit and belonging. Alzheimer’s patients have regained clarity for short periods of time by playing only 60 minutes per week.

Special Needs Populations

The challenges of working with people considered “special needs” are many and varied.  Through many years of working with many different populations, we have developed many strategies that help us connect and progress with the clients.   These protocols can help the person combat stress and depression as well has develop a stronger sense of social interaction and accomplishment through the use of various musical rhythmic exercises.
